I have worked with Jon as part of the leadership development programme. This programme has taken small groups each year on a leadership journey – not training in the conventional sense, but coaching, guidance, self-directed learning, and peer-to-peer exchange.
Under Jon’s guidance we explored issues, shared solutions, learned new tools and techniques, and identified skills, strategies and approaches that have set me up well for managing a growing team and business challenges. I never considered myself a ‘leader’, and still don’t in a ‘conventional’ sense! But my leadership journey with Jon has made me realise that there are all kinds of leaders, and that I do lead. It’s given me clarity about my role, my strengths, my weaknesses and how to manage these, and how I can continue to grow in ways that best support my team and the business.
